Now that the sun is shining, and the clouds are slowly departing, lunch breaks can once again have a more cultured twist. Working in Old Street has many advantages, and one such bonus is the variety of street art that lines the streets in the surrounding areas. With the likes of Shoreditch, Clerkenwell and Brick Lane just a stones throw away, it attracts not only London based street artists, but artists from around the world.

One spot I always head towards while out looking for new pieces is the large wall of the Village Underground, on Holywell Lane. The wall always has something spectacular featured, and today was no different… I was pleasantly surprised when I turned the corner and saw that the wall had once again been transformed into a beautiful work of art.

EN MASSE, a multi-artist collective based in Montreal have always caught my eye with their large scale work, which of the most part is spontaneous and black and white. The collective was formed in 2009, and have worked with over 250 artists from around the globe. They explore the creation of a collective vision; works created together that are greater than any one person could create alone.

If you ever find yourself near, or around the area, be sure to pop over and see whats up on the wall, it won’t disappoint.
