Nottingham Cultural Partnership

The Nottingham Cultural Partnership represents the breadth and excellence of the city’s cultural offer. We developed a distinctive and sophisticated cultural brand and innovative marketing strategy. We took a close look at the city, its heritage, the cultural offers and the people. We found they all had one thing in common – a kind of spirit. A spirit of creativity, innovation, rebellion and artistic endeavour. We developed a fluid, layered identity system that allows the partnership to target sections of each others audiences with appropriate streams of content.

We helped reach black and minority ethnic audiences to make sure their needs would be addressed in local and national policy in the 2011 Census. We devised and implemented a communications strategy based on community and family values and created a design approach that was adopted by local authorities across the country. Southend on sea borough council

We helped make this council campaign not appear at all like a council campaign, and put the LSTF to work changing behaviours around travel in Southend on Sea. Proving again that creative intelligence really does work.

In 2013 19% of people had heard of our campaign Ideas in Motion, by 2015 that had risen to 48%.

In 2015 monitoring and evaluation to the councils LSTF programme:

  • 30% of respondents indicated that they had decreased the amount they drive
  • 46% of respondents said they had increased the amount they walk
  • 40% of respondents said they have increased the amount they cycle

  • 30% of respondents indicated that they had decreased the amount they drive
